Public Safety

Public safety is a critical role of government. For well over a decade, Clermont has enjoyed some of the best police and fire service in the State of Florida (possibly the Nation). Today, there are areas in our City that no longer enjoy the response times we once maintained; this issue must be addressed in an appropriate and financially responsible way.

Sustainable Growth

I am deeply concerned about the financial future of our City. While I am not against growth, I firmly believe that all growth must be self-sustaining. A strong town pays for itself.

Family Values

Honesty, Fairness, and Accountability. Our Founding Fathers believed that the government existed to protect and uphold our inalienable rights as citizens: the right to Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness. I believe this is critical to the maintenance of our Republic and also to the physical and financial well being of our City and its citizens.

Strong Local Economy

As a tourism professional, I understand that economic impact is only impactful if we keep the dollars we have HERE, in Clermont. The more outside dollars we can keep in the city by working with and encouraging an increase in local businesses, the more wealth we will have in our community. This wealth will then serve to support community programming. This is the cycle of tourism and it works. As the Choice of Champions, Clermont is well situated to take advantage of this unique and rare opportunity.

Reduce Tax Payer Burden

I am focused on reducing the financial strain on taxpayers by pushing for a lower millage rate, enabling families to keep more of their income during these difficult economic times. I am committed to responsible budgeting and will work diligently so that our city's resources are used wisely and transparently.
