About Alison

• I am a native Central Floridian. I moved to Clermont in December 2005.

• I have lived in my current home for over 10 years. My family lives on the west side of Clermont near downtown.

• I am a mom of four children. They, too, are all native Central Floridians. They range in age from 16 to 2 years old.

• My partner in life is named Bret Jones. He moved to Clermont 40 years ago and has deep roots here in town. He practices real estate law and focuses primarily on traditional neighborhood design principles.

• I am a licensed Florida attorney. I started practicing law here in Clermont in 2006 with a small firm with whom I remain affiliated today. My practice was focused on business and real estate law. Though I maintain my license and sometimes help with firm projects, I stopped taking on new law clients six years ago.

• I am an entrepreneur. I own and operate THE Spring Games, a college softball event that hosts almost 400 college softball teams here in Central Florida each year. The estimated annual economic impact of THE Spring Games is over $32MM. THE Spring Games employs four Clermont residents full time and maintains its office in Clermont. I also own a live stream company and a sports and recreation consulting firm.

• I served as President to the Leadership Lake County Class of 2010. Our project was economic development and our class worked with several local residents and elected officials to bring rowing to Clermont and Lake County (our project continues today).

• I have served since 2014, and continue to serve, with PFX Athletics on its Board of Directors. PFX manages Legends Way Ballfields at the National Training Center in partnership with South Lake Hospital, Lake Sumter State College, and Lake County government.

• I enjoy travel. I have been to 38 of the US States and 10 countries outside of the US. I have traveled by plane, train, automobile, and balloon.

• I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Sports Administration (BA), a Master of Business Administration (MBA), and a Juris Doctor (law degree). All of these were earned at Stetson University.
